This gathering will be dedicated to Norma Desprez, an accomplished local poet who recently passed away.

Join us for stories, finger plays, songs, activities and more during this program for the whole family on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m.

This program is geared for age two to six, but can be enjoyed by the entire family.  Pajamas and stuffed animals are welcome during our evening storytime.

Raised With Praise (7:00 PM)
Local author Bill Callaghan uses inspirational and humorous stories from his past and present to show that the key to raising happy, well-adjusted, kind, and compassionate children is to "raise them with praise" in an environment free from criticism and condemnation.  Tips on self-publishing will also be provided.

Held Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.  This is a 30-minute storytime designed for the preschool-age child.  Children should be able to understand and sit through longer stories and be able to participate in more advanced activities.  Children ages 4 and up may attend this program unsupervised, but for the safety and care of your child you must stay in the library and pick up your child immediately following the program.

Spanish Readers Book Group (7:00 PM - 8:30 PM)

The Spanish Readers Book Club welcomes fluent Spanish speakers in the Chippewa Valley who would like to read and discuss novels in the Spanish language.  Monthly discussions will be held on the third Tuesday evening of each month from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Chippewa Room on the library's lower level.  The sessions are free and open to the public; registration is required.  Book discussions will be led by Dale Omtvedt Gable, Spanish instructor from U.W.-Eau Claire, and Teresa Carrion-Valenzuela, a native Spanish speaker and educator. 

Limited copies of each book to be discussed will be available for check out from the library.  Those wishing to check availability or reserve a copy should visit the library's online catalog.

Ever wonder how a 747 gets off the ground? The library is excited to partner with Youth Aviation Adventure to bring information and hands-on learning opportunities related to general aviation. Real pilots will present fun and informative hands-on activities.
