The L. E. Phillips Memorial Public Library in Eau Claire will once again offer high school students a three hour workshop designed to assist you in taking the ACT test. The ACT Prep Workshop will be held on Sunday, March 14th from 1:30 - 4:30 p.m in the Eau Claire Room on the library's lower level. The workshop will be presented by Ruth Harris, M.S., Director of The Northwest Reading Clinic. Specific ACT strategies presented include: Basic Skills, Analysis of Directions and pacing, practice samples, when and what to "guess," and essay writing.
The workshop is free. However, tickets are required to guarantee admission. Tickets will be available at the library's Youth Services desk beginning Sunday, February 28th, and can be held 24 hours for pick-up. Stop at the Youth Services desk of the library, or call 715-839-5007.
Please bring a notebook and pencil, and arrive on-time (REMEMBER the clocks "jump ahead" one hour to Daylight Savings Time on Saturday night!). Refreshments will be served. For information, stop at the Youth Services on your next visit to the library, call 715-839-5007 or e-mail the library at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
