Ornamental grasses are becoming increasingly popular in the home landscape.  They offer texture, color, movement, easy maintenance, and three seasons of interest.  Find out which perennial and annual ornamental grasses are easy to grow in your garden.  See photos of Midwestern backyards that illustrate how ornamental grasses can be used as individual specimens, in mass plantings, or as border plants.

Steve Horan teaches classes at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.  His home garden in Woodbury, Minnesota, features a collection of approximately 300 ornamental grasses of roughly three dozen hardy and non-hardy varieties, worked in with his large collection of daylilies and other perennials.  Steve's yard has been a popular stop on numerous garden tours.

Free.  No registration required.

Eau Claire Room, lower level.
