The Internet is an excellent resource for address and phone directories, both for individuals and for businesses. Most sites are free and are available on any computer with Internet access.

Library Databases

• Reference USA - Available through the library's web site at www.ecpubliclibrary.info, this database contains information on more than 12 million businesses and over 120 million households.
• Community Information Database (http://www.more.lib.wi.us:81/) - Available through the library's web site at www.ecpubliclibrary.info or the MORE online catalog at www.more.lib.wi.us, the Community Information Database is an online database of information on area non-profit organization and agencies in counties in which at least one MORE consortium library is located.

Phone Directories--United States and Canada:

• AllPages.com (http://www.allpages.com) - An online national yellow pages for the whole United States searchable by state, city, or type of business such as agriculture, construction, food and dining and more.
• Anywho.com (http://www.anywho.com) - Phone numbers and addresses for persons and businesses in the United States, a reverse look-up directory and maps and directions to destinations within the United States.
• Canada 411 (http://411.ca) - A free-online white and yellow pages site for Canada; includes both individuals and businesses.
• Infospace.com (http://infospace.com) - Searchable by address, business category or phone number as well as for individuals. Includes a "near address" feature and an e-mail search.
• Reverse Phone Directory (http://www.reversephonedirectory.com) - Look up telephone numbers using several online reverse phone books and directory assistance sites, search by address, or by business type.
• Switchboard.com (http://www.switchboard.com) - Includes searching by business, person, area & zip codes, town directories and more.
• The Ultimate White Pages (http://www.theultimates.com/white) - A handy tool for searching six online residential phone books. The site also included reverse number lookups, map searches, yellow pages, e-mail directory and trip planning.
